Case Study:
Tim worked for a small towing company in Northern Wisconsin for nearly 6 months. One day he was called to tow a car that was parked illegally in a restaurant parking lot. After hooking up the car to the back of his towing truck, he began driving back to the company lot. He was stopped at a traffic light when a car flew through the intersection and hit Tim on the driver’s side.
He immediately felt pain in his left leg, arm, and neck. Within minutes, an ambulance and the local police department arrived on the scene. Tim was immediately taken to the hospital. The doctors took x-rays and referred him to a specialist.
Tim’s cousin arrived at the hospital and told him that he needed a lawyer. Realizing that the attorneys at Hickey & Turim, S.C. could help him with his Worker’s Compensation claim (the car accident occurred when Tim was working) and his Personal Injury claim, he immediately called our office.
How we helped
The next day, we drove nearly 3.5 hours to meet with Tim and his family. We discussed his options and explained the best way to go about his case. Over the next couple of years, we helped Tim through the entire process and ultimately, got him the benefits he deserved.
Like most people that are unfamiliar with the system, Tim didn’t know that he had both a Worker’s Compensation claim and a Personal Injury claim. If you (or someone you know) have gone through something similar, it is extremely important that you contact us immediately.
