The best way to deal with an insurance company adjuster or a worker’s compensation insurance adjuster is to be kind and considerate and patient. Most of the adjusters are not necessarily trying to create problems or chaos for you. They typically have too many claims and they have too much going on and that can often lead to delays and problems and so on. Um, so what we always tell people is that same claims adjuster will most likely be the same person deciding at the end of the claim whether or not to put up what’s called settlement authority or payment on the claim. And so it’s important for you to establish a decent relationship with that individual and be as kind and considerate as you can. uh in the instance where you have an adjuster who is just simply not responding or not paying attention to your claim or not, you know, uh responding to information, the best avenue is to contact an attorney and make sure that it’s clear to that adjuster that that will not be tolerated and um there will be consequences in the event um that they don’t get it together and keep things moving on your claim.
